As we see it, Fox Creek Leather is a company that brings back just what companies should be.

Fox Creek Leather is honest, caring, and looking out for the customer. The quality of all their products are top rate. This was the impression we got from their website, so we had to go look for ourselves.

On our way back from a trip to South Carolina we swung up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and wound our way through the mountains. It was a nice cool ride as we past all sorts of small towns, most in the middle of their 4th of July parades.

As we came to the NC and Va. state borders we dropped off the Blue Ridge and headed for Independence. A small town in the middle of the beautiful mountain and farming areas of South Western Virginia.

Just north of town you'll come upon Fox Creek Leather. A family run business that has grown over the years with the attitude of "our hands on the future but our fannies in the past". This attitude brings to mind how values and morals play a big part in our lives and if it's that important in our lives, why should businesses be any different?

Inside we found a quaint and comfortable store while being completely surrounded with a sampling of their products. We were greeted by Rachel who showed us some of their products and gave us a quick background to what Fox Creek Leather was all about.

We were able to take a look behind the scenes and found a small warehouse full of jackets, chaps, boots, saddlebags and the list goes on and on. Most of their stock is on hand and ready to be packed and shipped. There we found Terri busy on the phones. Terri handles the photography and website as well as taking orders.

Close by are their phones and work benches where they take the time to inspect all the items before they're packaged and they even have the equipment there to do small repairs on snaps and buttons to ensure the quality of the products before they are delivered.
